Summary: Traffic Impact Analysis for a Multi-Purpose Development
- Traffic Data Collection – For EPR to develop the traffic analysis, available information on the county and state’s transportation systems was gathered. This information included field data and 24-hour traffic counts. Warrant Analysis – Included preparing signal warrant analysis for future year.
- Mitigation Analysis – EPR prepared a Mitigation Analysis and Proposal and tracking documentation. This plan provided information on capacity requirements resulting from the proposed development plan improvements and a summary of possible mitigation strategies.
Twin Creek Master Plan Traffic Impact Analysis: EPR prepared a traffic impact study for the Twin Creek Commercial/Residential Development. A Traffic Study was requested by the Okaloosa County and Florida Department of Transportation. The developer was to determine the impact that a proposed retail development would have on an intersections and segments within an impact range. Project responsibilities also included preparation of a signal warrant and signal design. In order to determine the proposed traffic impact, current turning movement counts, roadway volume counts, and programs such as ARTPLAN and Synchro as well as ITE trip generation rates were utilized. The project also included extensive traffic count data collection.
