Speed Limit change on stretch of I-10

ESCAMBIA COUNTY — Drivers will soon be able to drive faster on part of Interstate-10 in Escambia County.

The speed limit will be increased from 55 to 60 miles per hour from Davis Highway to west of Highway 29.

The Florida Department of Transportation says the increase from 55 miles per hour to 60 miles per hour on this strip of I-10 is all about consistency.

FDOT says the change is being made based upon the results of a recent speed study.
